This summer, Proforca launches a brand-new season of work at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre.

Over the coming months we'll be presenting new writing, supporting emerging artists, championing exciting theatre companies and sharing stories that explore key changes, epic adventures, broken hearts and ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances.

A fundraising weekend in support of Myton Hospice and the Lion & Unicorn Theatre.

Across seven brand-new pieces, Being Brave finds ordinary people caught in the tiny, impossible moments before a decision: to jump, to stay, to speak, to come home, to keep going, to let someone in.

Side Hustle: Summer Stories

Our much-loved new writing showcase returns.

For three days, Side Hustle brings together writers, performers, directors and theatre-makers to test new ideas in front of a live audience. Some pieces will be taking their first steps. Others may become the next full productions to emerge from the Lion & Unicorn.

At its heart, Side Hustle remains what it has always been: a space for artists to take risks, experiment and discover what happens next.

One man sets out on a mission to understand the shape of his own heart.

Part stand-up, part confession, part theatrical event, Big Love explores the people, places and moments that make us who we are. From childhood obsessions and first loves to broken hearts, epic adventures and the connections that stay with us long after everything else has changed.

Funny, heartfelt and deeply personal, Big Love is a celebration of love in all its forms.

This is a season about connection.

Proforça Theatre Company is an offie-nominated theatre company based in London.

It's our mission to provide opportunities for writers to have their work performed, actors to showcase their talent and to promote the work of the very hardworking people behind the scenes in the very important technical roles and provide them with a “stage” to develop and gain experience as well as put their talents to great use.  We feel that keeping it “small and friendly” is the way to go, which means creating fringe productions which will excite and challenge our audiences with something new.
